Hello there!
This week I’m sharing an extra newsletter. I want to share some insights from my recent talk on company culture — a topic close to my heart. 🌟
Breaking the Myth of Struggle
In our society, we’ve been conditioned by movies and popular narratives to believe that success only comes from immense struggle, conflicts, and strong attitudes. But I respectfully disagree. I firmly believe that success can be achieved with ease and joy, as long as there is transparency and clarity in our goals, vision, and strategy. Knowing our roles and the hats we wear makes all the difference.
Creating a Light Culture
A heavy culture and difficult working relationships shouldn’t be the norm. When we work easily with our colleagues, work flows naturally, and productivity soars. The old "family" concept in company culture, while well-intentioned, often leads to misunderstandings. A family implies unconditional love and emotions that, in a business context, can lead to burnout.
Personal Experience with Burnout
I recently shared my own battle with burnout on LinkedIn and also in my last Newsletter with more details. I was deeply moved by the supportive messages from many who resonated with my experience. This has reinforced my belief that we need a paradigm shift in how we view company culture.
A New Vision: The Sports Team Analogy
A business should not mimic a family environment. Instead, it should function like a sports team, where each player knows their role and executes it with precision. This team sports analogy fosters a natural flow, ease in collaboration, and a united effort towards common goals.
The Future of Company Culture
This is my vision for the future of company culture. Let’s embrace transparency, clarity, and team spirit to create workplaces where success is achieved with ease and joy!
